Deep in the jungle where the paw-paws grow,
Lives a mean old alligator. His name is Joe.
He lazed all day in the jungle sun,
But what he wanted was a little fun.

See, there were 5 little monkeys swinging from the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator, "You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Alligator, sneaky as can be,
And he snapped that monkey right out of that tree!

Ooh,ooh aah ahh, ooh ooh, aah, ahh,
Ooh ohh, aah, aah, ooh ooh, aah, aah.


Now, there were 4 little monkeys swinging from the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator, "You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Alligator, sneaky as can be,
And he snapped that monkey right out of that tree!

Ooh, ooh aah ahh, ooh ooh, aah, ahh,
Ooh ohh, aah, aah, ooh ooh, aah, aah.


Now, there were 3 little monkeys swinging from the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator, "You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Alligator, sneaky as can be,
And he snapped that monkey right out of that tree!

Ooh,ooh aah ahh, ooh ooh, aah, ahh,
Ooh ohh, aah, aah, ooh ooh, aah, aah.


Now, there were 2 little monkeys swinging from the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator, "You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Alligator, sneaky as can be,
And he snapped that monkey right out of that tree!

Ooh,ooh aah ahh, ooh ooh, aah, ahh,
Ooh ohh, aah, aah, ooh ooh, aah, aah.


So, there was 1 little monkey left swinging in the trees,
Teasing Mr. Alligator, "You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Alligator, sneaky as can be,
And -- snap! "You missed me!"

Ooh,ooh aah ahh, ooh ooh, aah, ahh,
Ooh ohh, aah, aah, ooh ooh, aah, aah.


Now, there are no more monkeys swinging in the trees!
Away swims Mr. Alligator, sneaky as can be.
